1973 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible by Karmann

1973 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible by Karmann Transmission: manual Mileage:99852 The VW Beetle is a true icon of 20th Century motoring and occupies a significant position in the minds and hearts of drivers and enthusiasts across the globe. The Beetle is the longest-running and most-manufactured car of a single design platform anywhere in the world with over 21 million cars produced between 1938 and 2003. The VW Beetle has seduced many a first time buyer, collector and classic car enthusiast. And for obvious reasons; the parts network is comprehensive and inexpensive, the ability to convert the base model into many different variants was always available and the cost of the car itself presented a gateway into classic car ownership. This example was registered new in 1973 and was imported into the UK in December 1990. The Beetle has had two owners since being imported into the UK, the first of which treated the Volkswagen to a colour change to black, converted it to right hand drive and registered the car as a historic vehicle. The current keeper has maintained the car when necessary with notable work including extensive welding to the chassis and inner wings in 2019. Presented in black coachwork over a red leather interior and black hood. The hood is in good condition and the Fuchs style alloy wheels complement the Volkswagen very well indeed. The interior is in good order and the paintwork retains a deep shine although there are some age-related blemishes. In current ownership since 2017 the Volkswagen comes with a history file detailing previous maintenance documents, sundry bills, old MoT test records and the current V5C registration document. What better way to enjoy the summer than in a 1600cc Volkswagen Beetle convertible!
