A Cased Pair Of 28-Bore Percussion Duelling Pistols By Robert Wogdon, London, Late 18th Century Converted from flintlock, with swamped rebrowned twist octagonal sighted barrels each signed along the top flat and with silver fore-sight, case-hardened patent breeches, engraved tangs each with back-sight, signed flat bevelled detented locks each with stepped tail and safety-catch, figured full stocks, swelling flat-sided butts, border engraved blued steel mounts comprising butt-caps decorated with a flower-head centred on the retaining screw, trigger-guards each with acorn finial and engraved with a flower-head on the bow, turned ramrod-pipes, set triggers, horn-tipped ramrods, and some original blueing: in later mahogany case fitted and lined in plum velvet with some accessories including C. & J.W.
