Pelagic Cormorant, "Phalacrocorax pelagicus." Brandt's Cormorant, "Phalacrocorax penicillatus" JW 37 slight soiling, speckling in the left edge where once bound 23 3/8 by 26 7/8 in.; 595 by 687 mm. Based on a composition probably painted in London in 1838, from a specimen obtained near the mouth of the Columbia River.
