Sooty Albatross, "Phoebetria palpebrata" 21 5/8 by 28 3/8 in.; 549 by 720 mm. JW 37 From a composition perhaps painted in London, 1838. The specimen was provided by Dr. Townsend, who secured it in Oregon at the mouth of the Columbia River.
