Lesser Yellowlegs, "Tringa flavipes" JW 36 fine, fresh impression, very slight soiling in the margin 14 1/2 by 20 1/2 in.; 370 by 523 mm. Based on a composition probably painted near Charleston in 1832. The exceptionally beautiful depiction of the marshy habitat is the work of Audubon's assistant, George Lehman.
