A Queen Anne walnut and featherbanded 'double-domed' bureau cabinet 1700-1715, the double domed top with a combined ogee and reverse ogee moulded cornice, above a pair of arched shaped panel moulded doors each inset with a bevelled and cut-glass mirror plate, enclosing eight open compartments, six pigeon holes, three shelves and two short drawers, above two candle slides, the hinged fall applied with a moulded book rest, enclosing ten pigeon holes, five drawers, two secret drawers and a well with a sliding top with a concealed lock, over lopers, with two short and two long drawers below, on bun feet, 108cm wide x 61cm deep x 214cm high , (42 1/2in wide x 24in deep x 84in high) Footnotes: Provenance The offered lot was purchased at Fernandes & Marche, Antiques - Works of Art, formerly located in Belgrave Square, London in July 1977.
