Asio otus JW 37 slight soiling, a few fox marks, slight offprint showing through on the recto 19 1/2 by 12 3/8 in.; 496 by 314 mm. Based on a composition probably painted in Pennsylvania, 1829. "In Pennsylvania, and elsewhere to the eastward, I have found it most numerous on the banks of our numerous clear mountain streams... ".
