Black-crowned Night Heron, "Nycticorax nycticorax" Flora: zephyr-lily, "Zephyranthes atamasco" JWTM 35 fine, fresh impression, slight soiling in the margins sheet 25 5/8 by 38 in.; 650 by 965 mm. Based on a composition painted at Charleston, June, 1832. The habitat, including the frog, is probably the work of George Lehman. See color illustration on Plate XVI.
