BLACK-HEADED GULL (PLATE CCCXIV)

Laughing Gull, "Larus atricilla" JW 37 very good impression, two small tears in the upper edge, minor soiling, a few fox marks, mainly in the margins 14 3/4 by 20 1/2 in.; 375 by 522 mm. Based on a composition painted at Great Egg Harbor, New Jersey in May, 1829.
